Spring Festival is the most important festival in China. It is a festival for family members to go home and get together to celebrate the coming of a new year. The Spring Festival falls on February 19th this year. So the Spring Festival Rush begins on February 4th and last until March 16th. The train tickets will be short of supply. China has prolonged the pre-sale period of the train tickets to 60 days. People have to buy the tickets home much earlier than before. The supply is still not adequate to the demand. If foreigners would like to travel in China at this time of the year, it is advised to book the train tickets at least 2 months in advance. Good News for Air Travellers in China: No Fuel Surchange from February 5th

Good news for tourists travelling in China by air: There will be no fuel oil surcharge from February 5th, 2015. The former fuel surchange ranges from CNY30-150. It has been going down recently along with the decline of the international oil price. Now tourists who take a domestic flight only pays for the flight ticket and the Civil Aviation Development Fund(CNY50). No fuel surcharge from February 5th.

Flight travel has always been comfortable and fast, however, more expensive. This move will save the cost of travelling by plane in China. It will encourage more tourists to travel by air.
